Troon Petanque Club was formed in 1989 and has evolved over the years, moving home a number of times along the way, but always managing to survive in one form or another. The club currently has over fifty active members, making it one of the largest clubs by membership in Scotland.
What has sustained Troon down the years has been the commitment of the membership and the tireless efforts of successive committee members.
Its current home is in the grounds of Marr Rugby Club at Isle of Pin Road in Troon, Ayrshire.
Members currently play on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from 11am. New members are always welcome, and the club have boules that visitors can use of a “come along and try” basis.
